my 2005 nissan maxima install

A K3 behind the grill of a Maxima…love it. “Where there’s a will - There’s a way!”
It just goes to show that if you’re willing to take some stuff apart and do some trimming it can be done. So mad props to ya.

Are the extra fittings on the manifold actually plugs? They look like regular PTC fittings.

With everything back together, can you see anything through the grill? You could hit the shiny stuff with some flat black.

Nice install, very clean! Now we just need a video clip!

i dont understand the ? sorry i am a bit newbie lol thanks for the comments… i will get a video soon … as far as fitting there are 3 black plugs that fit into them and hold the air because i have the 3 bells and 2 of them plus there is another fitting that u can attatch to another manifold if u want to extend them i guess this was a kit i bought from curt .s so if anyone is familiar then you know more then i do with fittings and plugs? are the plugs the black things that fill the holes of the unused ports ?

thanx man yea it took 13 hrs or so 3 days not all day of course but most of them lot of cutting bolting you cant see threw the grill its mostly all black so u cant im going to PM you

yea i guess i didnt take a very last picture lol but yea we hit all the bolts and brackets a nice matt black so u cant see anything yup got that! lol

nice setup bro
K3 looks good

yup already did that great minds think alike
and yea they are plugs

thanks a lot buddy

Curt sells solenoids that are much, much better than that brass one you have. Trust me, that thing is gonna piss you off when it gets cold! The stupid thing sticks open! I hope hornblasters switches to the valves that Curt sells. He’s got three different ones, depending on what flow rate you need.

I don’t know - it might be kept warm by his radiator! Lol

Nice work! Very impressed.

I am looking forward to seeing this in person this week. 13 hours isnt bad at all. ear2ear that may work in city driving, but I have a feeling highway driving will multiply the problem as the valve is getting the windchill factor of the 70 mph air blowing past it into the radiator.

thanks a lot man  they sound great too

yea lol i forgot to mention the solinoid isnt near the rad i mean its on the side of it but in a diff compartment for now i will leave it i dont feel like taking off the whole bumper etc as for now its warming up but i had the soli out in the same spot winter of 09/10 and everything was fine … for me if its not broken im not gonan fix it atleast untill it gives me a problem

Yeah, I was half kidding…lol
