I Installed 5000K HID’s Led Reverse lights/interior/licensee plate light. A Kenwood Radio Polk audio front and back door speakers subwoofer is next. pretty good for my first car so far, im only 16
Cool beans, the 2nd shot of the horn close to the chassis rail, does it sound?
I have had problems in the past when a rolled up sleeping back rolled in front of my K3’s and they would not sound off, they just gushed air? Once I moved the sleeping bag away they began sounding again.
Also the is one of your bells above the exhaust, be careful it does not damage the Bell.
Looks good. How much pressure are you running?
Did you make the individual mounts? Got any pics of the process?
@stinky it is close to the leaf spring but it moves away from the bell. i would have to break my truck to break the bell off and the one bell above the exhaust is a good 5 inches above and has plenty of clearance.
@ear2ear im running 150 it actually shuts off around 142-144. i dont think anyone should ever run it at 200psi it distorts the sound and hurts the horn more than anything. and sorry i dont have any process pictures
Thanks guys!
Hello fellow s10er! Like the install and the truck. I see you mounted yours to retain the spare tire. I yanked mine out to use the stock manifold. If you ever decide to put everything under the bed, just know that everything fits wonderfully snug like so:
Those tanks in your bed probably take up a good 25% of your bed space, no? At least if a buddy asks you to help him move, you’ve got a good excuse!
yup lol I can fill tires up though. It was a debate between having a spare tire still or a bed. I wasn’t to concerned i may build an enclosure around the tanks after i get 1 8.5 gallon air tank. i have much larger trucks i can borrow if i need that. i cant borrow a spare tire on the side of a highway. Your stuff looks great though. I have to look for some more room because i want to add a K5HL also some day after i finish my lights and speakers
a k5hl? pffft, who needs a spare anyways? haha. Rip that sucker out and put the k5hl in!! You could always do something similar to what the off-road guys do and make a mount for the tire in the bed.
there is some space where my 1,2,5 bell are and some along the frame im sure i could find some space!
the site would not let me upload a picture for some reason but i got 1 8.5 gallon tank vs 1 5 gallon and 1 2.5 gallon. I gained some more space in my bed, it looks better, and there is a clear spot for a second compressor if i want one. il try to upload a picture later
K5hl on an s10? Get ready to mount that in the bed!!! I have K5HLA on an F-250 and 3 bells hang completley out from below the frame rails. And the L sounds great but I prefer not to run the 1L bell. Currently I’m just hanging on to it since I hate to part from it.
If I ever add more I will have to mount them individually like my K5LA’s I still have my spare tire even with the K5LA’S
I have space on my frame if I wish to do so
