My k3la doesn't sound right?

Hey what’s up guys, just got finished installing my Nathan k3la and I don’t know if it’s me or the horn but it doesn’t sound anything like the YouTube videos iv watched . When the horn fires it is more of a high pitch sound and not that nice deep sound. I’m running a 5 gal tank with a 145psi pressure switch, viar 444 compressor, 1/2 ASCo valve with 1/2 airline going to the horn. When I first got it I took it apart and cleaned the internals I did not touch the diaphragms but they didn’t look damaged. I took the ring out in the middle with the 3 Allen heads and cleaned it and reassembled. Can you over tighten stuff when putting it back together? I also noticed the horns are labeled #2,#4,#5. Anyone have any ideas?

K3LA has bells 1, 2, and 4a

You are missing the lowest note and have a higher high note.

Well the horn is made by airchime so I wonder what one I have if it isn’t the k3la

Where did you get it from? Look in the forsale section maybe you can get the right bell.

Got it off Craigslist for 300 bucks. Do I need a “4a” or will the 4 do. How much is the going rate for a #1 horn?

4a is tuned a little lower. I don’t know all the details depending on when it was made or whatever, the “A” may or may not be stamped on the bell. I know mine is sort of light/faint. I wouldn’t worry about that one til you try it after switch that #5 to a #1.

Hopefully you could find a single bell for around 100, but they vary.

Alright man thanks
