Did you paint the entire inside of the throat? Reason I’m asking is I will doing a similar project on my Leslies and I had heard painting the inside affects the sound. Don’t know, just asking.

thanks a lot man i love the royal blue as well. My gf actually picked it out 
yes i painted the inside… but not the 4mm air passage itself… i taped that off. I don’t see how it could really effect the sound to anything noticeable… Spray painting the innards of a leslie will be a LOT more difficult because they are much longer and skinnier at the base end… would pretty much be a nightmare trying to cover it all and i don’t think it would even be possible lol

Oh and not to threadjack but painting the throats of a horn won’t affect the sound at all (unless you get it all in the insides).
And painting Leslie throats isn’t too bad…
I know it’s hard to see but I got paint all the way down the bells.

Yep, took awhile and almost 3 cans to get it that shiny and thick though lol It was Rustoleum.
does the rustoleum have a fan spray nozzle or the standard kind?
Standard but I believe you can get them with the fan spray nozzle
yeah it’d be a nightmare with a fan spray

the colors are cool that royelty blue looks good on a K5 all and all love the horns man if i get my K3LA i goen for that as is look finish lol but hay honk the hell out of K5 for me will ya lol.peace
thanks… do royal on the outside with gunmetal on the inners. that would look sick too. I almost wish i did that because I liked the blue so much lol
you know i gave it much thout the guy that i am talkin to about geting the K3 from he paints them to wean i do get the K3 ill ask him if he can do that but over all i still wont that look the way it came straite off the train i thinking of asking him if he can paint the bells in gun metal and paint the front of horns blue and buy the way hornee sir how much did you pay for your air kit and ware you get it ?
