Today is the third time I replaced the oil for my XD3000. So far I am so happy with my purchase. Never a single problem with it since I installed it and I blow my K3 and HB a lot. Compared to my other compressors, this is problem free. I also think that the low voltage protection is also good for the alternator ( I burnt one using my other compressors) since it shuts down the compressor if it senses low voltage, thereby preventing a higher current draw and overheating the alternator. Oh! I almost forgot, one of the fins from the cooling fan I installed broke off but it was balanced with a simple flat washer and a super glue.
Thanks for the testimony! A lot of people can learn something from this - maintain the oil level and change it occasionally, as you would in a car, and get many years of trouble free operation.
