looking into getting a new kit but dont want to spend more than 400, been looking at the mximus 3 quad horn kit which is 389 or maybe an outlaw. any suggestions?
Depends what you’re going to be happy with in the long run. If the budget doesn’t stretch to a Shocker kit, maybe consider the Rocker which is just two of the Shocker horns. That way you got at least an opportunity to add the other two horns later on and upgrade to a very awesome setup. If you buy the maximus then you’ll be stuck on that.
I have a setup now with a 5 gallon tank with a viaair compressor with omega horns it’s just not loud enough for me and doesn’t work half the time. I was thinking about just ordering the shocker horns but I don’t know if they will work with what I have.
Oh hell yeah… Five gallon Shocker setup is the bomb! Get the XL set which gives you the half inch line and air solenoid. If you want loud - they’re it.
The tank I have now says max psi is only 125 thought. Honestly I don’t know the first thing about train horns. I’ll put a picture on here when I get back to my truck so you can see exactly what it is

Agreed with all the above, the Shocker horns are going to be the most bang for your buck. You will not be disappointed with the sound quality of the Shockers.

Yeah, you could buy the Shocker XL kit with valve and buy a new tank for around 400 bux with shipping.
