Okay i just got a k3la and now i am trying to find out where to put it on my truck but at the same time where to put a tank and compresser. The problem is that i do NOT want to put it in the bed. I would like to run at least a 5gal. tank.
thanks for the help.
here is a picture too to maybe help
Spare tire location.
yea that is true but i want a set on this truck… lol. I really would hate to lose my spare tire…
you won’t loose it…just put it in the bed of your truck…thats where mine is.
Oh yeah. Just put it on the cummins. Althought I have to say it would have more of a surprise “scare” factor on a small car or truck than a full size lifted truck.
i agree on the bigger truck but i am working with what i have and i really want to keep the spare where it is.
yea i had contacted curt but i am waiting on his call back. hopefully i can get the stuff by this weekend.
Its really tuff to fit a 5 gallon air tank and the horns under a ranger.I got a k5 were the spare tire was couldn’t find a good spot for the air tank so its in the bed.
i just really would hate to get ride of my spair tire…
got off the phone with Curt S about a hour ago and got my stuff shipping tomorrow to me. He is a very good dude. thumbs up! thanks again man. and ill post pictures of the set up when i get it done. The truck is alittle different then whats in the pictures but once all done it will be Nice!
Gota love a work in progress!
im looking foward to see another ranger with horns on it.
Thanks guys.
got them in and mounted and fulled up the tank with the shop compresser to test for leaks in the system had a few from the fittings but alttle more plummers tape fixed that issue. and all is good. BUT turn the compresser on the damn pressure in the tank goes from 120psi from whats on the shop compressers to 90psi. WTF? and i have a viair 400c compresser brands new. and the pressure switch is a 110psi min/145psi max i beleave it was. so whats the deal on that??? i really need help.
Don’t use tape. Use pipe goop.
I’ve never had one leak using a couple of drips of this on the threads of my fittings…

Way worth it. They sell a smaller bottle, we had a bottle that big for bagging my brother’s S10.
i had fixed my leaks. but idk why the compresser is not compressing it seams…
