I"m assuming you won the bid…

damn why is that horn that expensive? 100+ and u get a k3 lol

its a 2 piece 1L bell

2 piece 1L bells are still quite easy to come by if you know the right people… I think it went for so much because it’s got the adjustable back cap on it. It’s either an EARLY 1L bell (as in the first ones made) or a marine use 1L bell.

Its one of the first ones made. Adjustable back cap. Rare. 2 piece 1l’s can be found as Honda said, just not easy to find for a good price. new 1 piece 1l’s are hard to find. As the railroad only has them, and there still fairly new. So most of the ones you see on the market are stolen. Thats why I wont buy any of them, or raised letter used ones unless I am absolutely sure they are not stolen.

Thats funny, I was watching this one too. I asked the guy what the screw was for but he did not seem to know or have any clue. What is it for, to adjust the tone?

If it’s really an adjustment type screw, it’s to adjust the preload on the diaphragm to make it blow it’s intended note (sort of like M horns).

The guy said it does not contact the diaphram though??? He seemed a little lost.

Nice horn man. If you did get it, congrats!
