Replaced my old Canon Rebel XT with a new T1i a couple weeks back and finally got around to testing out the video mode yesterday :o

Mic picks up a lot of wind, but you can hear my K3 echo for a while before a ferry signals back @ 0:45 
I was actually thinking about getting that camera. How do you like it?

My main reason for upgrading was the larger LCD and live view
At first, I didn’t think I would use the video mode much, but with good glass, I can see myself cutting some decent HD footage 
AF on video is much slower than I’m used to with lots of hunting even with fast glass, but going manual on a tripod sould yield good results once I get used to it…
My only gripe is that the video mode can only be viewed on the LCD (eyepiece gets locked out) 
Otherwise, it’s a great still camera that’s top notch, even for a 1.6x crop…
I wouldn’t mind a few more fps, but for what i got for the price, i really can’t complain :o
