new guy here also from illinois (central)

Hello everyone. New to the forums here. Rockin a k3ha with viair 440c and gc xtreme valves electric valve with 1/2 in hose installed in the front bumper of my 1999 crown victoria. I just installed this kit a couple months ago, been thinking about adding a k5 in the rear by raising the trunk bed. Once again hello everyone.

Welcome. I can help with compressor questions and the other guys can help with the rest.

I really wanna get a bigger tank soon possibly a 12 gallon and add a 444c. K3’s are definitely cfm hungry 5 gallons doesn’t last long lol

You probably won’t have any problems using the 440c & 444c with 12 gallons but Be aware that Viair has a 5 gallon warranty limit per compressor!

I wasn’t aware of the 5 gallon rule, thanks. Maybe I should consider an 8.5 gallon? I’m sure even two compressor’s on the 5 gallon would be better right?

It’s up to you - some guys do 2 compressors on 12 gallons. Depends on your tolerance level for no warranty. Just don’t go crazy with it.

How much warranty is left on your 440c anyway?

Welcome to the forum from the UK.

Not sure what the warranty is but I bought about 2-3 months ago.

Thanks Stinky!

Been running 2 Viaair 444c for years on 12 gallons with absoulety no problems. (Minus my wiring mishap haha)

Welcome to the forums!

Thats good to know. I’m prolly gonna order a compressor and hook it to the 5 gallon I got now, then get a bigger tank after that. What kind of pressure you running and what kind of pressure switch/relays you running?

I’m really diggin that E-Bell too Bryan

Im using the Hornblasters Dual COmpressor Switch. It has the built in relays. It keeps my wiring really clean and organized.

Thanks!!

Wow those hornblasters relay/pressure switches look pretty sweet. Which on do you have, the 165/200 or the or the 110/150?

I have the 110/150.

I was thinking about getting the 165/200 on my 5 gallon and adding a 444c.And then maybe get the 8.5 gallon down the road.

Yea thatll be fine are you going to get a regulator to limit the amount of pressure going to the horns?

Should I? The max pressure on the horn is 200 psi right

Some People say its ok to do and some say no it ruins the internals faster. I would imagine it would make your k3 higher pitched. I’ve always have done 150 with no issues.

Thanks for all your help. After a little research ya I’m gonna get a pressure regulator for sure.
