New Guy With A ? (Imagine That)

Greetings, I have just stumbled upon the wacky world of trainhorns, sort of by accident. I just purchased some property and the junk that was stored in it. I found 2 horns of which I have no idea what they are. Can anybody identify what they are, and indeed if they are “Trainhorns” ? As well as what I would need to get these going? Thanks in advance for all replies.

WElcome… wish u had betters pictures… but those are TRAIN horns…or should i say a single bell of 3 or 5… IT IS A P bell #3

ITs a piece to this:

yep its a p#3

Thanks that was quick. So can I use this as is ? What would I need to get this thing honking?

I think u can use one bell but im not sure how nice it would sound… All you would need now is a air tank…and a compressor and all the fittings. Thats if u use that one horn. Also check to make sure hte insides of the horn are in good condition

welcome to the forum. call Hornblasters, they can help you with what you need.

You can use it as is, no problem. Just gotta make a manifold for it or buy a single manifold for it. It would just play one note and wouldn’t sound much like a train but it would still be plenty loud.

Check above the mounting feet and see if it says Pat Pend or Pat Pending.

you said 2 horns wheres the other?

I think I have the manifold for it. It says Pat Pend

The other one is exactly the same as the one I posted.

** I did find out the guy who owned the property prior to me, used to work as a mechanic for MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Auth.)
