The guy I talked to was friendly, and helped out with everything.
I was originally going to order a complete setup from hornblasters.com, but I couldn’t afford it. From what I’ve read on these forums, and from ebay reviews, realtrainhorns.net offers a good package, and good customer service.
I still want to get a PA system from hornblasters.com, to even out my setup.
I’ll also be installing this setup myself, instead of having a shop do it, so I’ll probably be asking a few questions on here as I go. I’ll also post setup pictures as I install it, and finished pictures once it’s done.
If you have any advice or recommendations for setup, let me know.
It’s going onto a 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4x4, xtra cab. I’m thinking of taking off the spare tire, and putting the entire setup there, using torx bolts or security bolts to latch it down so that no one robs me.
How do you like your setup? Anything you’d do differently? I still have time to make changes if need be. Thanks
Personally I’ll never takemh spare off, gotta have a spare man. You can order the custom mount kit so you don’t have to use the airchime manifold and it let’s you mount each horn individually. I have a recent post that’s titled Nathan p3 on my 08 f250- I built a custom bracket shelf out of heavy gauge angle iron and put it in my bed - perks to having a bed cover and an 8’ long bed! Check it out. Only thing I would’ve done different is get the K5 no doubt!!
you are right about that bro i plan on geting the K3 horn my self and this time mounting it all in the bed on the new truck ill get sum time. i had a old 85 F250 and my Air kit was in the bed my S4 Shockers wer mounted on a Bar ware the spare usd to be how eaver the old mount for the spair was shot so i put the spair in the bed but hell yes it good to have a spair wen you get a flat.
I hear that, might want to get a bed cover then, that’s the only reason I’m putting mine in the bed. Yeah, spares are to valuable! I’m in an apartment too, my neighbors probably think I’m crazy bc I’m always doing something on my truck, plus the “test blasting” I had to do haha
