Live in citrus county Florida and own a F350. A friend is selling a set of horns, grand generals I guess. I’ve heard them and they sound good but I’m curious if his asking price is OK. He is asking 500.

OK so I scored a 5 gallon tank, a Viair 280c compressor and a set of GG’s with upgraded solenoid.
Any kits I can order to hook this all up on my super duty?

Sounds like you just need some airline and fittings.
Did the tank come with the pressure switch for the compressor?
Drain fitting, safety valve, air gauge, wire, switch, horn button…??
You’ll just have to piece together whatever you need since you already have most of it.
Already have both the solenoids. One on the tank and one on the horns. Running 8 guage power wire. And going to use one of my up fitter switches for horns.
Anyone know where I can find a diaphragm for those grand general horns? One is punctured from the spring.

Tank is mounted on outside of frame rail, and compressor is just on other side of frame to help with staying cleaner.

Hey guys, so everything is hooked and seems to work flawlessly. Except the horns, they are a very deep note. Possibly sounds like one horn isn’t working.
Could that small hole in the diaphragm cause that?

You could swap diaphrams between horns to see if that’s the problem.
So I got in touch with iowa80.com and ordered 3 new diaphragms. And holy hell, the horns are totally different! Insanely loud now. Love it!
