New Here From SoCal

Hey everyone,

I posted in another section, but not sure if it went through. Anyways I’m new to the scene, want wanted to add some horns to my F150.

I know absolutely nothing about them, so hopefully this is the right place to learn.

I really want some K5LA’s, but those are pretty pricey. Thinking about going with a Hornblasters.com Shocker540 kit.

Anyone got any comments or suggestions?

Thanks.

Welcome.

Have you looked on places like ebay for a K5la or looked into a refurbished K5la? You can get them alot cheaper than a new one.

Welcome from SoCal. If you can’t afford to start with K5LA’s then the Shockers will do until your can.

Welcome to the forums.

Save up…get a k5 or a k3…k3 is actually louder then k5

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

it will probably take me a while to save up for a k3 or k5.

how good are hornblasters?

they are good… but cannot be compared to a k3 or k5…
the hornblasters horns are alot of fun… they will def surprise u when u hear them…prolly be loudest horns around u if no one else has them… i started with shockers…then sold after few yrs and got a k5

The refurbed, or VERY good condition used, K3 would be a great choice. I love my K3LA and if you get one from someone within our community there is a good chance it will be in great condition.

You won’t be disappointed in the 540 kit, but the K3 is a nice setup up from it.

Well I was listening to the different sound of the nathan airchimes, and I think I’m gonna settle with a Nathan Airchime P3.

I don’t really need something as powerful as a k5la just yet

how should I go about buying the kit? Buy it brand new or piece it together?

up to u… brand new no wait…have entire kit ready to go…piece it together takes some time but u can save urself some money…

And call Garrett to see if they have any deals going on. The folks @ HB will always make sure you have what you need.
