If I put the air tank under my truck do I need to be concerned with rust.
The 5gal tanks are steel, so yes you will need to monitor for rust. They have a good coating but if exposed to the elements I’d keep a close eye out for any sign of corrosion. Also make sure you regularly drain it, that’s where most of the rust builds up.
I wonder if I’m better off mountain the tank in the compressor in the bed. It’s a new truck so I really don’t feel like drooling holes in the bed but it may be A better route to go.
