first time on the forums. i have a 07 dodge ram 1500 i am wanting to put train horns on. not sure on what kit to buy? i want them to sound good but i do not want to pay over $600 for them. any suggestions on what kit to buy? also i am thinking about putting the tank and comp. in my tool box. what are your thoughts about this setup? also i am wanting them to sound like a train. some i have heard on youtube has a weird sound to them. then some sound just like a train. sorry for all the questions in the post. thanks.
For under 600 I would run the Shocker XL horns. and have them be 200psi and no less than a 5 gallon tank. you wont be disappointed. This one is out of stock, but if they still do the discount then it would be under 600. Thats my choice
thanks for the info twist!!! what do you think about the tank and comp going in the toolbox? with that kit is it able to do the 200psi. i see it has a 5gal tank. do i need to go bigger on the tank? and how long will the 5gal tank last? i am new to the train horns, so sorry about all the? just trying to figure out how it all works!!! thanks again.
one more question and i am done for now. if i get the shocker what would i have to do if later on down the road i want to get the nathan k3? would the compressor and tank be big enough to run the k3? thanks. David
tool box is great thats where mine is, get a 480c and a 5 gallon tank and you can upgrade to a k3 very easily, dont worry about the ?'s if you have any more thats why were here!
thanks for the info. was thinking about it today and would really like the k3. is there anybody or another web site that sells these used? 900+ just for horns is crazy!!! hey tooloud, how long does the 5gal last? when you are blowing them!! CurtisL, you got any pics of your setup in the tool box? thanks for the info.
