New Member - Question

I am getting ready to purchase a K5LA from a private seller. According to him, they are “like new”. They have been recently powder coated and ready to go.
The problem is - these are my first set of horns and I don’t know what to ask to make sure they are in good condition. What are some questions I can ask?

Welcome to the forum. I don’t know the horns like the others do but I can help you compressor questions.

Great. I will need some help with that too when the time comes. I just don’t to make a bad deal with the horns.

ask about the diaphragms… the O rings… and the flux capacitor…

wut?

Ask about any cracks or chips in the castings.

I also made sure the threads were good in the manifold.

Ok - I have been looking at what some people have paid for their horns. I plan to buy my K5LA tomorrow morning. The pictures I have see of them seem to be in very good condition. I am paying $800. Is that too much. I see that there are complete kits you can get for cheaper than that. I’ve always wanted a set of the K5LA’s. Am I paying to much??

Yes. That is definitely top dollar.
Ebay is your friend.
