So I’m new to train horns and I’m looking at the shocker series by horn blasters.
Anyways my question is, if I have my windows up and everything shut and I blow the horn will I still need ear plugs or something to protect my ears?
Thanks!

No. Even with your windows down it is not that bad

If you’re directly in front of the horns as they’re going off, you’ll maybe feel your eardrums vibrate a bit, and you may have some ringing afterwards, but other than that, you should be fine.
Thanks for the replys guys! Do you think there would be room to mount the horns on a regular sized sedan? BMW 328i
I have seen shockers on everything. There is a guy on here with a yaris. If he made room I am sure you have ample room for a setup

ditto - And a Smart Car
and don’t forget repeatman’s bicycle trailer…lol
Welcome to the forum.
Yep. Shockers are single mount so you can put them anywhere. You might have trouble if you try to mount a real train horn though.

Awesome! Sounds like I’m good to go then hopefully it isn’t hard to mount them.
You guys think the shockers are a good choice ?
Yeah the Shockers are a great choice. You just have to look under the car, behind the grill, up under the bumpers, etc to find a spot.
I’m about to look for a spot, I’ve read about how to activate the horn and what I’ve come up with, Is it splices into the normal horn buttons?
Is there a way I can wire it without having to mess with my normal horn? Like a switch?
You can either splice into your horn wire and use a switch to choose or get power from a different source and install a separate button.
Yes just put a push button on the valve

Add a switch to turn it on/off and tap it into your horn wire under your dash… that way you can honk it by pressing your regular horn button if its on, if its off, your stock horn operates like normal.
Wifey gets annoyed when we are at stores and I hit the key fob on my F350 and it echos throughout the whole parking lot
Sounds easy enough, did you guys do yalls installs ? It doesn’t seem that hard to do.
It’s not bad at all. If you need any help there are plenty of people on here that will help you out

I appreciate all the help already. Do you guys mind if I post up a picture of basically the only spot I have to mount them? I think they should fit…it’s right up under the rear bumper. I’ll post a picture
Go ahead we like pictures

there isnt really any other place to mount it, plus my car is lowered so it’s kind of hard getting under there.
are you guys able to see the pictures?
