since more and more of our guys from the german
dodge forum got these train horns i wanted to know more about it
and looked first for these ebay chrome horns and different sites who offer these horns…
but most of these horns are not what i’ve wanted…
not the right sound
parts are too “cheap” quality
components not right for working with horns,…
so i asked the ones in our forum with a train horn from which company
their horns are, most of em have hornblasters…
and this is now the reason why im looking for information
about hornblasters and their kits…
and what i know for now…and all the information i read on the website
the kits should be very good…
our forum guys sayd the same …
my choice would be
conductor’s special model 240
train horn kit
i will have a lot of questions about it in the near future…
Welcome to the forum. The conductor special is a good start and the Shocker horns that come with it sound close to authentic train horns. Most people will eventually upgrade the horns to Airchimes and maybe dual compressors.
For really fast fill times an Oasis compressor is 5 times faster and not limited to tank (reservoir) size. It can even run a 1/2" impact wench without a tank.
Welcome to the site:) These guys are awesome in here and know what they are talking about. I just bought the 240’s also and haven’t had them on my truck for a week yet and I LOVE them. You have any wuestions just post to this site and I guarntee someone will answer your question. Good luck:)
And as far as a kit goes you have already made the first right move by staying away from the cheap china made chrome horns. As far as the conductor special goes it would be a great first kit.
I might suggest going with a 5gal tank due to most people end up wanting more after they purchase their first kit. So if the bug bites you which is more of a matter of when not if:D You will then have enough air for K3’s!!!
