new pressure switch, compressor still wont kick off

so, a while back my compressor did not kick off with teh pressure switch as designed. so due to not having access to a garage and the cold weather i temp. wired it up on a toggle switch for manual control, because replacing the pressure switch required me to pull the tank due to its location.

so, this weekend we had nice weather, so i pulled the tank and replaced the switch. now i have a significant air leak around the switch, it still will not kick off at 200 PSI. it is a sealed switch ibought from hornblasters.

gonna try and fix the air leak this weekend, did i just get a bad switch or could i have relay issues?

and i took my toggle switch and wired it as it was originally wired.

Do you have the horn power lead running thru the pressure switch or are you using a relay that is controlled by the pressure switch to cut the power to the compressor?

can you check the continuity of the pressure switch wires when the tank is fully charged? they should be open.

gotta fix the leak around it first, it looses air pretty quick.

but i have the coil contact wire for the relay running through the pressure switch, so the the switch closes, it sends power to the NO coil contact on the relay to close it, and let the compressor power through.
