New Shocker XL?

what is the difference between the shocker xl and the hb4h? i have the hb4h and its very fun but what is this “new” one that looks exactly the same?

x2???

the XL has 1/2" fittings, tubings and valve going from the tank to the splitter. the original one which is $50 less has 1/4" line, fittings and valve. also, the lower priced one has compression fittings. the XL has those quick connect types… that’s what I noticed from the site…

You can convert your HBS4 to XL by buying the Shocker S4 1/2in Valve Upgrade Kit

By the way how big of a difference in the loudness between HBS4 and the XL ?

theres a difference, id go with the xl, bigger the better!

if that is the difference then its well worth the 50 bucks! those adapters and 1/2" line work wonders!

gotcha. cuz ive never seen those kind of fittings before and compression fittings annoy me. i already have bigger airlines than what hornblasters has sent me with the shocker kit, but i do want those ptc fittings. do you think i could order just the fittings from hornblasters cuz i dont think they are in hardware stores…and i had 1/4 air line ran from the tank to the solenoid valve nd i upgraded that to 3/8 air line and BELIEVE ME IT IS MUCH LOUDER BECAUSE OF IT. now sometimes it startles me when im hittin the horn from inside the truck!

definitel order the 1’2" kit with the gator clips! youll see a huge difference… call em up! im sure they’ll hook it up

The HB4H (HornBlasters Classic 4-Piece Train Horn Kit) and the Shocker XL feature the same four trumpets; however, the XL (Xtra Loud) version has an upgraded 1/2in valve, and 1/2in feed line.

In detail: The classic kit comes with 5/16in line from the tank to a 1/4 NPT valve (3/8in orifice), then 5/16in line to each bell. The XL kit comes with 1/2in line from the tank to a 1/2in valve (1/2in orifice) then uses 5/16in line to each of the bells. The XL kit uses all push-to-connect fittings. These save a lot of time and frustration with the installation – basically they’re like Chinese finger traps. You just insert the airline firmly and they grab ahold.

You’re right (5/16in not 1/4in though). The only other thing worth mentioning are the push-to-connect fittings and the increase in volume.

The horns are significantly louder with the new setup. Definitely worth the investment if you’re a horn fanatic! And for those of you who might be concerned: the horns sound just as deep and authentic, just louder.

Let us know if you have any more questions and feel free to give us a call.

Upgrade kits are in stock and available. We’d also be happy to provide specialty fittings you might need if you have smaller than 1/2in port sizes (3/8in or 1/4in).

The 1/2 upgrade is well beyond worth the extra money holy Sh*t the difference in volume between the 1/2 line and the 5/16 line is like night and day highly recommended. i had an anvil kit that is now in the garbage. the guys at horn blasters do an amazing job and the customer service is beyond any company that i can think of, they actually answer the phone and will answer any questions you have about anything. thanks again guys!!!
