New To Air/Train Horns Looking To Add The Shocker540

Hey everyone,

As my title states I am completely new to air/train horns. I know absolutely nothing about them. So hopefully I came to the right place to learn all about them.

I own a 2001 F150 Super Crew, so hopefully installation on my truck will be relatively easy. I’ve been looking around for a while on air horns, and I would really love a K5LA, but its a little out of my price range.

So I think I may be going with the Shocker540 from hornblasters.com

Is this a good kit for a newbie?

Also where is a good place to mount the compressor/air tank in my truck?

Anyways as you can see I need all the info I can get about add a set of horns to my truck.

You cant go wrong with the 540 kit…

Yeah the 540 is a great starter kit. Getting upgrades for the air lines later for a refurbished K3LA later on is super easy, and a 5 gallon tank will feed it just fine.
