Two vids of my train horn. These are NOT scare vids…only recordings. I am saving money for a set of K3’s. These horns I purchased a couple of years ago…just 3 chimes…but they sound very good! And the camera didn’t pick it up too well…but talk about echo! A friend could hear it 2 miles away on the mountain…and he didn’t know when we were going to blow them. We were nice and decided to do it at 9:30.
These were being blown at my friends house. He drove up the road a ways and I blasted them, but not at full power because my ears are sensitive lol…and I had earplugs in too.
Like I said, the horn is a cheap 3 chime. It’s not installed on my vehicle. Im using my friends stationary 60 Gallon air tank/compressor. Pressure was around 130psi. Using 3/8" air line. Took off the solenoid, and was using a manual valve. Was extremely loud…I’m around trains all the time, and I would say it was just as loud as a P3.
I had a realization during new years eve. I have a too small tank and too slow a compressor. lol especially when I wired my semi horn and shockers to go off at the same time.
