Hey guys…nice looking forum you got here. I usually post on performancetrucks.net and gmfullsize.com. I mounted up a set of trumpets on my 09 GMC Sierra back where the spare tire mounts on a plate of steel I cut out. I bought the kit used for $300 bucks so I dont really know what I have but only by looking at pictures. I have some questions but thats for another thread.
Heres some pics of the truck…
09 1500 with a 4.8 auto. I have a custom tune from Wheatley performance, 24s, removed the lift blocks in the rear, avic headunit, and a few other little things…
Heres when I had a set the 20s from my 2000 on it for a while before the 24s…
Tinted windshield…
and stock 17s for winter
Heres a few of the horns…
I cut a old mud flap to hang in front of the compressor to help block debris but I think Im going to move it. Like I said I have a few questions but Im gonna start another thread for that…
Nice looking truck Jake Break,
Looks like you have either the Kong or the Anvil by Siege Engineering (OUT OF BUISNESS NOW), not %100 sure. The main thing is, how do they sound? Post some vids, the Kong has a deeper sound then the Anvil. I had 2 sets of the Kong2’s on my F-250. After that I got the Feaver and moved up to the big boys, K5s.
Welcome Aboard Man.
Click the banner below and check out more of my truck and some vids.
Ill have to take a decent video. I mean they def. sound really decent. Ive heard some and it really just sounds like a loud horn but this really sounds like a train IMO…really sounds awesome next to a building or obviously under a bridge…
That’s crazy dude - I just registered here too and have the exact same truck!
I have the factory 20s but your 24s sure fill out the wheelwells nicely.
And taking out the lifting blocks helped a ton. Very nice stance!
So is yours Onyx Black -or- Carbon Black Metallic?
Honestly, I dont really want to take them off seeing there isnt really any ‘body lines’ on truck if you will. Without the body lines, the body panels look HUGE without something breaking them up IMO. But I agree it does look clean without any badging.
On my 2000 you can see where the emblem would be there is a line that runs down the bottom half of the truck, where the newer trucks dont have that. I think the emblem breaks it up a little bit.
Its an old pic of my truck but cant wait to get the truck back on the road…
