you know how hot it can get in the tropics… Mine squealed only once. That was the time after raining and I didn’t use the horns for a couple of days. And the times that I got it submerged in flood. Other than that, the horns honked perfect every time.
Sorry to hijack this one. Jus concerened about these things. I’ve taken them apart. Blew the horn and put them back together. Still does it
dj. how did you get the water out
just honked it a lot. it would sound weird at first but you can hear it clear up after a few blasts.
The Stutter horns produce a middle octave (non train sound ) blast that is very similar to an emergency Fire truck unit.
That’s because they are used on them, also on ambulance, police cares etc… To get your attention!
The Blaster horns were tested side by side with a 3-horn Stutter set which is pieced with a 3 1/2 gallon tank, 1-444 Viair compressor and a 150 psi pressure switch. The sound both these units produce is unique all their own. Both are VERY loud in their own right.
How did you do your testing with a Decibel meter? At a certain distance? Or just by your ear?
If you want a loud horn look for one of these:
Or this lighthouse horn Mike is a fellow collector in another horn collectors ring I belong too.
