Purchased and RETURNED 4-horn Blaster set. The Blaster horns were tested side by side with a 3-horn Stutter set which is pieced with a 3 1/2 gallon tank, 1-444 Viair compressor and a 150 psi pressure switch. The sound both these units produce is unique all their own. Both are VERY loud in their own right. The Stutter horns produce a middle octave (non train sound ) blast that is very similar to an emergency Fire truck unit. Very effective in traffic. The Blaster set produces a high octave, multi-tuned train sounding blast. In this writers opinion, the Blaster horns produce a curiosity more than an earth shattering effect. Both products generate loud sustain blasts, but by no means do the Blaster set sound any louder than the Emergency Stutter horns. This consumer FULLY knew buying the Blaster horns would be a risk in the sense that if I felt these were not THE loudest equipment out there, I would be losing money. Restocking fees and shipping totaled to approximately $65.00, but in no sense do I feel bitter if only to satisfy my curiosity as to which horn product is truly loudest. Stutter horns by Air Horns of Texas offers a quality product and if not TRULY SATISFIED, there are NO RESTOCKING FEES. You just pay shipping… Ernie
We discuss many different types and brand names of horns on this forum, so I don’t understand why you posted this other than to mention a competitor’s site.
Perhaps if they had their own forum and were truly interested in the community as a whole, versus just selling a product, then they might have a better market share.
I guess they need business, too.

The people in all the Shocker videos seem to be showing a little more than “curiosity”. Just saying… Heck for the money & time you spent trying other horns, you could be rolling with a K3 by now.
I have never compared the shockers to a stutter horn, however I have exchanged honks with a firetruck. (k5 -vs- stutter) No comparison.

Ive been around forums long enough to know when someone signs up just to cause trouble for another competitive brand… And this topic seems like nothing but a promoting tactic for airhorns of texas, in a comparison bashing … per say…
I have a k3la and love it, BUT i still have my shockers (4 piece set) and will always keep those as they are awesome!
06 do your shockers make a squeal in temps above 60?
The only lime mine ever made a squeel noise was a while back when i got water in them… blew it all out and perfect again.
There have been topics in past discussing this with similar concerns… Sometimes just the diaphragms wear out… If in doubt, call up hornblasters. Talk to one of the guys and im sure they will give you a hand.
