Also - take pics of how you connected all the air lines. I really want my compressor outside too, but I was worried about how to get the air from the compressor to the tank, etc…
alright guys sorry it took so long!
so my original plan for everything ended up going in the trash.
I ended up putting everything in a box because i didn’t like the noise of the compressor filling up, and i liked the cleaner look of everything all together. Not to mention I’m sure the compressors will last longer in a weatherproof toolbox instead of under the truck exposed to everything. I wanted everything to look good so i herculined my bed which turned out pretty good and put down a 3/4" rubber mat on top of it.Heres what everything consists of now! I’ll post a vid asap these suckers are rediculous.
Nathan K5LA mounted in spare tire location painted to match truck.
3/4" OD Air line for horns
2 Viair 380c compressors mounted on 3/4" rubber mats cut from a bed liner
165/200 pressure switch
1/2" SMC Electric Valve
200 PSI 7 color led guage i can make it blue to match everything else or any other color
regulator with air chuck to fill up tires for my quads or truck or air tools…etc
2 toggle switches. 1 for stock/train horn. other one for compressors off/on
all mounted in a toolbox just big enough to fit everything! I almost just bought a full size black tool box but thought it would change the look of my truck too much so i went with the little one that isnt visable when trying to look in the bed unless your 6’6 like me.

thanks man! just so everyone knows the horns are mounted using a steel plate with 2" bolts. I know you can see zip ties on there but that’s just because i’m paranoid and used like 4 of the heavy duty zip ties that hold 150lbs each…these babies aren’t going anywhere

I only blasted them like 4 times in 2 second bursts but my neighbor already hates me i know exactly which one it was too. The cop was pretty cool actually he’s like “this is gonna sound crazy but i have a complaint saying you have a horn on your truck that sounds like a train?” It was so hard to keep a straight face. I Told him it was my girlfriends birthday and we had the air horns out that come in a can that you use at like football games and we got out of control. He was like well ok just please try to keep it down
