P5 #4 bell drill out .

WELL I HAD TO DO IT! I NOTICE THE AIR WAY GOING INTO THE #4 P BELL WAS WAY TO SMALL, ABOUT 3/32ND, IT HIT THE BELL WITH 145 PSI AND SOUND LIKE A HI PITCH FLOUTE" SO I DRILLED IT OUT TO 3/16 HOLE AND TRYED IT AGAIN AND WOW!! GOT SO MUCH LOUDER AD SOUNDS GREAT! SO I NOW HAVE 2 SETS OF SHOCKERS AND 1 P5 #4 BELL SOUND GREAT!! JUST TO LET YOU FOLK’S KNOW THAT OPENING THE AIR WAY DID MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!:eek::eek:

It was how it was supposed to be… Drilling out P horns is worse than drilling out K horns…

well what i did i hooked it up and just tyed it alone on back of some wearhouses in the hood. and it just didn’t sound good?? so came back home removed it drilled it out, hooked it back up went back to the wearhouses tryed it again and wow what a difference and the echo carried far and sounded more like a true train tone.??

Not a smart thing to do. You only drilled the #4 bell?? Like se7en said, it was made as a train horn.

yea but i only bought this one bell? also i think that the RR can only fabricate horns that can only go up so hi on DB’S, government ristrictions’’ maybe?like evrything that is governed ,speed on a car, ect?? anyways im happy and if i come across other kbells or p bells ill try them and then ill see what i can do to make improvements, just for personal use.:smiley:

So you had 1 bell from a 5 bell horn, and are using it solo?

No wonder you didn’t like the sound. All 5 bells are supposed to work together to make the note.

leave the guy alone people… its his… if he wants to drill out his horn let him… it might not be what you would do… but that what makes everyone diffrent!:slight_smile:

im sure if i had a compleat unit i leave it alone! but i got this on ebay,40 bucks? kinda like just to play around with… no big thing.
