Places to buy Nathans..

Where are places to buy K5LAs or K3LAs besides Ebay, BuyRealTrainhorns.com and JacksonPerformanceProducts.com?? I’m starting to save for some REAL train horns and put the Shockers in the closet for a while…

Im just trying to see what my options are and who has the best deals.

Thanks!

hornblaters.com!

Not to be rude, but I’ve found them cheaper other places…

eBay!!!

Or go with a member on here.

You get what you pay for…

Aside from my customer’s that are on this site no else bothers to help me out. I’m not asking for it, but it would be nice if people didn’t intentionally sway against me.

Matt sells new horns, I get people all the time who cant afford them but can afford my prices for used ones. I get alot of customer’s who buy air systems from Matt and horns with my custom setup. Many of these people are on this forum.

I get people all the time that cant afford my pricing, so I refer them to HB and to get some shockers. I dont have the time to be a reseller of shocker setups.

Its a circle here. I get customers from Matt, Matt gets customer’s from me. Why not a bit of encouragement from people for me? When we all work together we all win.

As far the best deals are ones you will find on eBay. But you must be cautious as sometimes you can buy a horn that can need a few hundred dollars in work.

You basically have 3 choices.

Find a fixer up for a cheap price. 400-600. Its a gamble what you may get.

Buy a set thats restored. 600-900. A little research will weed out good sellers from shady ones.

Buy a new set. You know exactly what your getting. 1100-1500.

Thanks for the info Curt! I’ve been checking your site out ALOT these past few days, I was just wondering what else was out there as far as sellers. You def have a good reputation here on the board from the posts that I have from happy customers. I’m not ready to buy just yet as I’m trying to gather up some money, but when the time comes I’ll be making a few phone calls…

sorry curt, no offense!im sorry if i steped on your toes i didnt know hb policy about things like that.

people sell them and sometimes you can get a steal, however the old saying goes “you get what your pay for”. Both with hornblasters stuff you know your are getting quality horns as with Curt’s, some of the ones ive seen from him are insane. save up some and pay for quality horns, then there wont be any headaches. my $.02

iceman it wasn’t directed at you. Sorry I came off as such. It was directed at the individual or individual’s that randomly keep sending me emails telling me I shouldn’t be posting on here. I have no place on here. Blah Blah. Agh. Yet I never advertise on here, and ask anyone who buys from me to not post my business name on here, just my screen name on here.

I am grateful I am allowed to post on here. I understand the rules and I understand reasons why.

brand new k5la for 699

Honestly Im contemplating this purchase, i have a hb conductor 540 shocker kit but uninstalled…I dont know if i need further parts or mods to make a k5la work :-/

Would be a great deal on a new set as long as it doesn’t jump too high in price at the end. Good luck if u decide to go for it! Of course if u wanted to save some $$ you can still get one fully restored for around that or save even more if u want to buy one used and not restored. I bought my set off eBay for $600 in good shape including a valve and some air line. Could have installed it as it was but I decided to strip the paint and redo mine.

Let us know what u end up doin!

PS. You could probably look at the differences between the 540 kit and a K5LA kit and figure out if you needed anything extra or different to switch horns.
