Been awhile since I checked in…But I still have an issue, its got to be the Hornblaster switch/relay or the one comp…But anyways,I pulled all the old wiring out and I made some jumper wires and I ran the comps straight to a spare Optima battery I had sitting around and both comps ran like a champ. So then I wired the comps back thru the HB relay and ran jumper wires from the relay to the optima and the comps ran like a champ thru the HB relay(no problems). So I assumed everything was peachy so I wired it all back up on the truck and this time I put a 35amp fuse on each power wire going into the HB relay. So I cleaned up all the wiring, zip tied everything up nice and neat, turn the ignition switch on,both comps came on and ran for 5 seconds then one fuse popped and one comp shut off, while the other fuse was fine and the other comp kept purring. So what I dont understand is why everything ran just fine when I tested it with no fuses, but once I wire it up on the truck with fuses, the one pops. Only thing I can figure is the HB relay is bad on the one comp side?? Either that or something is going on with that one comp, but they both run just fine with no fuse.:o
