Pressure guage

Hi guys…

Installed the shockers - the “Conductor’s Special Model 232 Train Horn Kit” a few months back and is all working perfectly.

Question is, do i need to put a pressure guage on for any reason? I’m assuming as the control box pumps the tank to the required pressure i have no need to worry…or do i?

Drains and charges up no problems, but would rather just check things like this out to make sure y’know

Cheers,

Stu

It’s a helpful tool if any problems creep up.

It’s also nice to know if your tank is topped off -or- how close the pressure switch is to kicking on the compressor. That is if you mount it where you can see it while driving.

Ah right i see, thanks! - Might get one as i like gizmos and gadgets in the cabin lol! - Miss my boost guage off my old diesel…

I presume i just use one of the ports and plum the tube into the driver area?

I have a gauge on my tank. No need for anything fancy.

If you buy a mechanical guage you have to plumb air all the way to the guage.

You can also buy an electronic guage that just uses wires between a transducer (sensor) on the tank and the guage. These seem less prone to leaks since there are less fittings.
