Is it possible for a pressure switch to fail in a way that it doesnt stop the compressor? today i walked out to my truck and found my compressor running and the safety valve on my tank was open. i think there maybe something wrong with the pressure switch that is making the compressor stay on. im kinda scared to even turn on the compressor now for fear that my tank will brake or worse, blow the tank. the switch is a 90/120 switch that come with my 20003 air system from Hornblasters. anyone else have a problem like this?
it happens once to me when i saw that i stop the compressor and wait like 3-5 mins and empty the tank and star the compressor again ad it stops at 200 psi and thats it only happens 1 time
if you have the safety valve its not going to burst the tank
mine did this once before but its only happened once and china horns are very loud whistles at 200psi
yep thats right i love safety valves!
yea i need to get one cause my pressure switch is crazy but my new compressor at least has a thermal overload switch
yeah get one asap they are really important…
i will it just depends on if i keep my shockers or not cause im runin my nathan off of nitrogen
it can occur if the contacts weld to each other and remain closed. are you using a relay?
just like to say thanks to Rigo for taking care of me. yall really do have great customer service!
gotta love hornblaster costumer service!!
Has there ever been a time where the safety valve failed? Because I don’t trust mine lol. Just the thought of metal in my back while fillin up my tank driving down the road scares me a little. (I use a pressure switch tho)
If you don’t trust it, replace it.
As long as the safety valve is installed in the uppermost part of the tank, moisture will never affect it. Do not buy bargain safety valves. We stock and sell top shelf safety valves, built specifically for our purpose, in five different pressures.
