question on ball valve setup

im mounting my k5’s seperately on the bottom of my car so each horn will have its own line…im trying to find a way out so i can add something onto my 1/2 in ball valve that will allow me to only blow two horns or whatever i want as to how i have them hooked up…i thought i saw a pic of somebody that had one mounted in there truck but cant seem to find it

Is this what yor thinking of?

yup you nailed it on the head man thanks!and how are you guys using that black airline???im just using regualar blue 1/2 in airline that you would use for airtools and such is that alright???

its airbrake line for rigs

is it any better or cheaper though??

Here’s the manual valve:

In-House Manual Train Horn Valve

Graham White Manual Train Horn Valve (Most common valve used in trains in North America)

Air Line:

1/2in DOT Nylon Air Tubing

This air line is UV resistant with an extremely high burst rating. It meets DOT specifications as well as SAE J844 Type B. What this means is its safe to use on air brakes on semis… The UV resistance means it won’t “dry rot” (UV and Ozone are the biggest causes) and its high flow too.

I know a couple of the guys on here have had experience with both and might be able to give you pointers if you want a direct comparison.

already got a valve im just using a ball valve…i have already had my k5’s hooked up just to my truck and now im hooking some up to my car so itll be differant mounting

Cool. Just plumb it inline with 1/2in tubing where ever you find it convenient to reach. Try to avoid elbows and sharp bends when routing the air line. Every elbow makes you lose about 2-3 PSI at the output side. Sharp bends can make you lose some too.

For geeks: It’s from that extra friction of the air rushing through and the turbulence it creates.
