Questions about ViAir 325C Compressor

I’m sure this is a simple one to answer but i’ll ask it anyway. I have this compressor and its 33% duty . I have a 2 gallon tank. My question is how long can this compressor run before it needs a break and how long of a break should it get. I ask because i’m thinking about getting a 5 gallon tank. And I just don’t understand the hole 33% duty thing. I’ve read the Compressor FAQs and still don’t get it. Please help!!!

Duty rating is how long it can run in a 60 minute time period.

33% means it can run for 20 minutes in a 60 minute period, and will require a 40 minute break.

50% means it can run for 30 minutes but needs a 30 minute break.

LOL! Well being on the other side of the planet for 10.5 months a year helps.

With numbers like these, yeah you need to upgrade!
