ok here is what i have going on. i have a kleinn 630 setup, 3 gal tank. 400c compressor. and a hornblasters 540 kit. 5 gal tank 400c compressor. how should i run the air to the horns since i have 2 seperate tanks? one for each horn? or plumb them together? (can that be done?) i also am gonna have the switches wired so i have one for the power to each compressor. then a 3 way for 1 horn, the other horn, and both. what you guys think? btw. First Post. thanks
Welcome,
good luck on wiring that. you will need at least two valves and plumb both tanks together. just run a hose/connection from one tank to the other.
Why not have one switch control both compressors?
well i just figured incase one or the other compressors ever messed up i could shut one down. but that does make sense.
Welcome.
I did a little reading on the kliens… Doesn’t the 630 use 3 horns? They make a kit with 2 more valves (for more flow).
The smaller the airline, the more apt I would be to run them separate.
And like Cortez said, just connect the tanks. What size ports are on the 3 gallon?
yes the kleinns are 3 horns, but as of now just have one valve for the 3. not sure airline size. its what came with each kit. the ports on the tanks are the same. didnt check size though.
Ok the ports on the 5 gallon are 1/2" so if the 3 gallon ports are the same - they’re 1/2".
Just run a 1/2" line between the tanks.
The “blastmaster” kit has 2 extra solenoid valves & fittings.
Or you could buy a regular 1/2" valve from Hornblasters and use tees or a manifold.
Welcome. Tie the 2 tanks together and use different valves for the horns.
