??

There are a lot of cheapies on Ebay. Some say they have trunk pop and car locator functions, but none mention if they’re hold and release or a timed output. You could ask the sellers though. Some are in hong kong. “We no ship weekend” lol

Here is the manual for most of the cheapo keyless entry systems from china/hongkong on ebay…

@ear2ear, doesn’t seem to have a lock on it so the buttons can be disabled if it’s in a pocket.

The Ebay store with the China stuff has a real website.
You can basically pick all your options.
They have a series of transmitters with slide covers.
You just need to make sure that it’s compatible with the receiver you pick.

Lol…shhhhhhhhhhh I charge approx £20 per unit lol…

And no, there is no way of locking them… scares the crap outta ya just as your sitting down to dinner when its in your pocket:eek::eek::eek:!!!lol

Oh and I have used the ones from china, tho I did find putting the aerial up was a bit of a pain & also occasionally my Horns were set off by stray frequencies… a big problem at 2AM in the morning when ya horns are going off on their own!!!

^^^ OK I cleaned that up for ya - don’t want to step on your toes. haha

I wonder if the rolling code or learning code units from China would be any better.
Did you try one with fixed code?

Lol…

Mine was a selectable code (micro switches) but they still seemed to go off, another particular time was driving behind a police car lol:D

Whoah did the driver of the police car get mad?

Hmm, I wouldn’t buy this sort of thing unless it had a button disabler and it has to be sophisticated enough to not be triggered by stray frequencies! Some sort of unique digital communica.

They slowed to a crawl and he was looking in his rear view mirror. I was just thinking “SH*TTTTTTTTTT” and decided to do the “looking behind me trick” and shrugging my shoulders. I disabled that device the moment I got home!!!

I now dont carry the fob attached to my keys no more and now I keep it on a long ID ribbon around my neck.
