Retalliate!

MAn, okay.

So the rodeo is in town and I had to perform there. So, anywho… after wards, Im leaving and mind you there is plenty of opportunity to scare people for no reason which I said I dont do, but I took a little liberty at blowing at people that are just in the way/acting stupid. So Im going down this BUSY street and there’s this guy standing in the street with one leg in the street and one leg on the curb, just runnin his mouth. Dude, there’s cars coming! So I leaned on my horn… I mean I was balls deep into that button. Dude hops out of the way but as I pass Something flies and hits my truck. I didnt see what it was but It knocked the pure hell out of my door. I got two pebble size dings under the mirror and two letters are missing from my RAM emblem. I never stopped so whatever he hit my door with was a B*&^H!

Honler beware I guess, luckily its my work truck and IM not that pissed, but man was that necessary?

he was jealous was all :stuck_out_tongue:

the guy whas being
stuped and you
wear doing him
a faver but i ges
hes that bumb lol

Remember your audibly assaulting someone. His reaction could have been much worse. He could have snapped and starting shooting at you.

I find as Im getting older the scare factor isn’t worth the risk anymore. There is too many people in this world delt hard times and will snap at a moments notice. Look at all the crime going on anymore. Never mind the people that are just plain nuts.

Here is a story from my truck driving career.
Last summer while driving a back road in philly with a big truck and two trailers a black man jumps in the road, in front of my direction of travel. The distance is less then a block between him and I.

Im doing 45 miles per hour loaded at 60,000 pounds, He started dancing in front of me. Literally jumping around and taunting me. He continued to dance and flip me off, basically showing off who is the dominant one in the situation.

There was a group of about 30 other black people watching and laughing. I didn’t speed up, but I didn’t hit the brakes either I kept a even pace running every scenario in my head, will he move, will I stop, do I stop and take the chance of being robbed or killed if i do stop. Last words I said to myself: If he doesnt move I will run him over and keep going till I can get to safe area to call the cop’s.

Well I guess he decided I wasn’t gonna stop, so he moved out of the way just in time, just in time to jump up on the passenger side of the truck and grab onto my mirror and bent it against the door resulting in him falling off the truck. He held on tight, he wanted in my truck, or a scenic ride. Lucky for him he fell away from the truck. As the rear trailer passed he got up and flipped me off. Flip me off cause I wouldnt play a brother’s game. Did I stop, no, would I stop, no. I get to the end of the block the light was red and I ran it, thats the last I saw of the dancing fool’s.

If he got run over I would have kept going. It would have been another mass beating of a white trucker if I stopped. It was a game of chicken, he had his life to lose, I had everything to lose. I wasnt going to be killed or mugged by 30 some-odd street gangers.

His goal most likely was to get me stop so I could be robbed, and or kill me and take the truck. He tested me, and he failed. It almost cost him his life.

Moral of the story is, be it a trucker on the wrong street, or someone on the side walk, you never know how crazy either one is. Honker beware.

I am a hypocrite cause I had my fun scarring undeserving people. But anymore I have fun with friends, car shows, and empty country roads. If I need to get someones attention I quill my horns with a ball valve, not to scare, but to firmly get there attention. Then if they throw something at me or my car I may snap and just shoot them. Everyone has a psycho switch, a fun time blowing a horn with friends at night could turn deadly.

Times have changed in the last year, people are stressed and ready to snap. Look twice, Honk once. If all found it funny, good, if they didn’t then its time to run.

oh yeah. just had something almost happen when I got home from work just this afternoon.

while I was nearing my house in the compound, there was a couple walking very slowly in the middle of the road. probably living in the same compound. I decided not to honk at them since I’m in a nice mood. waited for a while while they slowly walked and they didn’t even think about moving to the side so I could pass. then, when I was at the front of my house. them a few meters away, and someone parked at my parking space so I honked to call someone at the house (I usually do that here without any incidents) with the quickest blast I could so not all the horns would come on. the man looked at me angrily and looked as if he’s ready to flip and kill someone. I decided it ain’t worth a fight and just honked again when they were a bit further.

maybe he was having a bad day and took a walk? or maybe he’s just like that. I don’t know for sure. either way it’s not worth my life. I got more important things to deal with.

Great, there it is. I was waiting for a reply like this and I think this will be my last post for a while. This story wouldve had the same dang effect without all the BLACK/WHITE bull. Excuse me here, but man the only color you guys should be mentioning is the color of your horns because Any idiot ANY color would do what this guy did to you. And also, I know yall gonna let me have it for that but that my opinon and Im tired of people (for lack of better words) emphasizing that a person was this color or that color and THAT’s the reason they did something stupid. I never told yall what color that young man that stood in front of my truck was cause it dont matter.

NEXT.

Audible assault. Im with that because its loud, BUT the fact of the matter is, It was merely warning that was intended. And dont think I didnt have the ability to shoot back had there been some trouble. I blow at STUPID people doing STUPID things no matter what race. Plain and simple. (that cracks me up). In the midst of everyone doing something illegal here, there is so much peer-justice and it drives me up the wall. HORN the F*&K ON!!

Oh and
LOL

Calling someone stupid is a label. At least I admit I’m a hypocrite.

Peer Justice? I’m not the one passing judgement, you are. I never said cause he was black he was in the road. I said a black man was in the road. I didn’t ask what color the person was you scared.

I dont like ignorant white women who drive there 80,000 dollar suv’s recklessly on the Mass pike. That happens to be the most common place. Should I have said vehicle instead of SUV. Should I not have said white women? Is that racist?

I dont like homeless people that try to rob you in broad daylight in NYC. I didn’t mention race cause I have seen it in all creeds of people out there. I dont go to 6 flags in New Jersey because of the black and Hispanic gangs roaming the place looking for trouble. Certain groups of people do certain things. Certain horns make certain types of sounds. Certain types of vehicles do certain things. I’m not afraid to speak my mind, I wont alter what I say because it offends someone. Im not P.C. Im honest. My story wasn’t about the black man, my story was about there are alot of people out there ready to snap. It is what it is. I suppose I shouldn’t say what Muslims have done.

Dont beat around the bush, if you feel the need to label me and say I’m a racist just say it, it wont hurt my feelings. At least I could respect your honesty, not you half hearted attempt at E-Scolding.

I wasn’t judging you at all. I was just sharing a story. It is a forum, its public, anyone can post there thoughts, similar experiences, or views on a situation. I mean really, you felt someone was stupid, you went BALLS DEEP at that stupid person with your horn, and they retaliated. It bugged you enough that you had to post it. Then you post about how you outright lied to a cop. Are we supposed to praise you for your actions? No. Im still not judging you, or peer judging you, I am just stating an observation on what you wrote. Dont post on a public forum and expect only positive comments, praise. You also shouldn’t expect everyone to have the same views as you.

It wasn’t your last post either.

Curt. I got MAD respect for you man. Just remember that. I was just leaving my two cents. My own opinion and I wasnt bashing your point of view. You make a valid point and I take that with great respect. I would feel bad though, brother, if you saw me and thought I was gonna rob you. lol. Im harmless just like these words man. I guess I just figured that with a renegade forum such as this, you couldnt do more harm than good. HORN ON!!!

Oh and I was lying from the jump about not posting anything else. LIKE H3LL!!

The way I see it with people that snap over a horn or whatever is screw them. I have heard this from countless people in my family, that your going to get shot blah blah blah. Some people just cant take a joke and if people want to snap over a horn? I say bring it

I love reading people’s stories and to tell you the truth I have learned a lot.
My horn isn’t installed yet, but I have formed a few mental ‘rules’ for myself.

Man Brizzal, there are more people on THIS FORUM that get madder than the people you blow at on the streets. It amazes me because everybody on here with a horn is breaking the law and there is still a stand-off between right and wrong that I dont get.
HORN ON!

Im with you on that one. Personally, and Ive said it time and time again. I dont blow at people just for the hell of it. Just the ones (I wont say stupid) that are behaving in a way that might adversely effect my driving routine. AND IN TUNNELS!! I dont give crap who’s in the tunnels. lol. Unless its kids or the elderly. Our tunnels here dont have sidewalks.

I was the same way, and every now and then you are going to break the rules. But at the end of the day, its your ride, its your horn. Do with it what you will. But I agree, it is very smart to not blow around where you work or live. Church is optional. I also dont blow when I get near any destination, But I will blow when leaving if necessary.
HORN ON!

Yeah, when you’re leaving it’s not a destination any more. lol

You’re right. I’m sure I’ll break my own rules. I honestly have no idea how I’ll act with these horns. I haven’t even heard them yet. I might be too scared to honk much or I might turn into some kind of horn crazed freak.

I agree. Your horn - use it as you wish. Just make sure you come tell us when something bad happens…and you have certainly held up your end of the deal. LOL

And I get blasted for it everytime. (Telling my stories). When I first got my horn, it was so loud, that I was too scared to blow it. I still hesitate from time to time. I don’t think you realize how loud your horn is until you hear the echo. The other night I blew at my friend in a parking lot and I just gave it a little toot. But the echo that came back explained a lot about why they jumped three feet in the air. LOL. Still laughing about that. But if you can feel it in the ground then it must be loud.

You know, Hornblasters purposely promotes scaring people. It’s probably mostly marketing (good marketing) but could actually be a liability. Anyway, this is Horblasters’ forum and they have a section called scare stories. I don’t see why people should muddy up other’s threads with their ‘alternate’ point of view.

People don’t have to agree with what you do. All they have to do is not post. Maybe start their own thread called “Responsible Horning” if they want to vent. Maybe they should write Hornblasters. Didn’t there used to be a hatemail section on the site?

i go with wildhorn
