reversed scare

so i went running wearing my “horn if you’re honky” shirt because i have quite a few now and someone honked their loud horn at me! made my heart skip a beat lol i had no idea who did it as i had just got to the corner of a busy intersection. no idea what horn it was either
does this count as a scare storY?

LOL, was probably Matt

That’s funny. I was in a field behind my house the other day riding my dirtbike and when I came back to my house I saw my gfs car was in the driveway so i was expecting her to be inside but instead she was inside my truck and as I reached for the door knob she let me have it and I tripped and hit the door with my nose… It was embarrassing to get scared by your own horn.

lmao!! ya thats a scare story just the other end of one…
but its a good thing u didnt fall and bruise ur hip and then ur son get on here lookin to talk trash to bunch of strangers… lol

Karma, what goes around comes around…hahaha

^^Oooooo ouch! Can’t deny that…lol

Last week, my horns weren’t working all morning. I checked all the wiring, everything was still connected. I let some air out of the tank, and the compressor wouldn’t even turn on. Everytime I try hitting the horns, I couldn’t even hear the solenoid click. The only thing I could suspect is that the cold weather froze my pressure switch, my compressor, and my solenoid.

My set up is a toggle switch that switches between Stock and Stock+Train Horns. I was approaching the on ramp to a highway and it’s 2 lanes that merge into 1. I figured since my train horns weren’t working, I would just beep my horn to tell the guy infront of me to merge in. Usually, I would switch to stock horns when I do this, but since the shockers weren’t working, I’d just hit my horn as normal.

Next thing you know, I think my heart skipped a beat. I blasted the living poop out of myself with my own train horns and it didn’t help that there was a giant wall right next to me. I haven’t been scared by my own train horns for a while now. Not sure why they decided to work again, maybe it got warmer.

sometimes if its cold out u have to hold the button for sometime to get ur horns to sound… its alot easier when its warm out

eeeeek! next to a wall sucks, especially in a parking garage :frowning:

ive scared my self, when to reach my heater button and wrong button LOL 4am to early for that poop

So the question is… Did ya blast 'em back?

Yeah, scare yourself and then blast yourself again out of retaliation…LOL

The only time I’ve ever scared myself was when I was going to lunch with three co-workers. I unlocked my truck to get in and accidently hit the panic button a few seconds later. I thought it was a co-worker messing with me but quickly realised it wasn’t when it keep honking 3 burst rounds. We all got a good laugh out of it once our hearts stopped racing.

Great scared yourself stories, haha. I’ve too been scared by my own horns! I was at West beach (with my brother!) in Galveston and went through some water and it caused my truck to throw a brake code. I checked behind the right wheel where I change my oil because there’s a ABS sensor there and my horns were mounted on the passenger side frame rail angled to the front, so I’m right in the line of fire. And my darn brother reached over and hit the button and I jumped so hard my hands and arms clenched toward my body lmao. It was great!!
