Are those diaphragms painted? If so you may want to strip the paint off them. It may / may not change the tone of the horns. From the factory they are clean stainless steel.
EDIT: From the pic looking down the trumpets maybe they aren’t painted…may just be the lighting on the diaphragm pics by themselves that they look painted?
The diaphrams are not painted. Those circles that are on the diaphrams are formed because of the diaphrams sit against the inner part of the bell and when the air hits them and they vibrate and make sound it roughs up the steal a little bit and leaves a mark. The other sides of the diaphrams dont have those marks because they just sit inside the backcap and dont rub and vibrate against the throat of the bell.
