I now have a 150 amp ANL fuse about 4 inches from the + terminal on my battery along the 4 gauge wire.
Also, I’ve added a cooling mod to my Viair 400c. 220CFMs of cooling from a 12V Delta fan. To put it in perspective, the Oasis XD4000 only has a 100CFM fan!
I have been thinking of buying an AC pump for my car’s engine and turn it into an air compressor (EDC), but that might be a mess and a waste of money. Although, I am very tempted by how much air it could probably pump, versus 1 Viair 400c.
I will probably just get a 19 gallon air tank on Amazon for $150 shipped and throw it in my trunk and tube it to my existing tank. Heat won’t be a problem with the Viair 400C except maybe in summer. I’ll probably run the tube under the car rather than run the tubing through the back seat area, along the floor and through the firewall.
Next, I bought a rheostat/Potentiometer at radio shack, it’s rated for 3 watts, largest they had. 25 ohm. I will see if I can get it to help me emulate a manual air valve with my electric air valve. We will see.
