Shocker 240xl's any problems with mounting them in the engine compartment?

I plan to have the system on and powered up when ever the key is in the on position…for as long as I own them…

I’d also like to mount the tank and the compressor in the engine compartment…does anyone see any problems with that as far as heat goes? Think of those summer days when it could easily hit 150/200 degrees in there… does anyone else do that?

It’s going in a bronco, I assume I could mount the tank under somewhere as well…

Mounting in the engine compartment preheats the compressor and shortens its duty cycle.

alright - Plan B i suppose.

I would REALLY like to not have to put this inside, what’s the next best pace? Infront of the radiator with the horns maybe?

you have a bronco dude… best thing to do is get under there and start looking for places. I can’t imagine someone mounting the compressor in front of the radiator… that’s a good place for the horns to go facing down though.

If you take the Bronco off road, you need to be careful when mounting under it.

id mount the tank/comp in the back and mount the horns either in front of the rad facing down, or by the rear bumper, if i can fit them in my cadillac i think you can fit them in a bronco…lol

yea, I just really dont want the compressor inside - i’d like this to be as hidden as possible.
