Shocker sounding sick

Usually when I press my key fob the horn would give one good blast. The other day I pressed it and it was a very sick sounding high pitched noise that sounded nothing like it should. I checked all my hoses and everything looks good.

Took a quick video while pressing the key fob.

It just dont have the deep sound it did before, now instead of making someone jump, it would hurt their ears. BUT on long blasts, I can pick up a faint high pitched noise along with the blast.

My tank does not loose pressure even after sitting a few days without use so dont think its a leaky diaphram?

Any suggestions?

Thanks Jason

Sounds to me like the adjustable diaphragm screws have come loose (common issue) likely repairable under hornblasters warranty.

Other thing is solenoid malfunction if it is not opening all the way.

Thanks

Any easy way to tell what one of the four it would be?

Ohh my days! something defo aint right there!

Are you keeping your finger on the remote button or can you keep your finger on the button?
It could be like O6Z said solenoid or Horns.

It could also be the remote fob battery needs changing? It has not got enough power to transmit a strong signal to the receiver? And therefore is only operating for a fraction on the time?
(however, this theory is only proven if your able to keep your finger on the button normally to honk long honks!)

Yep… Thats what I thought there the first time it did it…

Key fob has lock, where I press once and it locks silently or two taps for an audio confirmation. Cant hold the button down.

The panic button will keep the horn blaring in small increments.

When doing the long honks, you can still tell there is something off…

As far as pressure, I have the viair 90/120 switch.

I usually drain my tank about 1-2 times a week so shouldnt be any dirt or stuff getting into the solenoid.?

Looked close at the horns, dont see anything moved or missing as far as the adjusters. (visually looked, never touched them)

Thanks
Jason

Thanks!

Heard from Lloyd today, he wants me to find out what horn is acting up and send it back for a replacement. Great customer service
