So I realllllllly want to pick me up a set of the shocker xl’s but are they really worth it? I want them to be insanely loud. I live close to train tracks and hear them all day long. I don’t want my shockers to let me down when I’m trying to show off my horns and you can hear a real train in the distance. Are the shockers really that loud? (and I know if I had the money I would get a Nathan or Leslie and I wouldn’t have to worry about this) thanks guys I would love to hear your opinions.
Do they sound like a real train horn? Yep.
Will they be as loud as a real train horn? Nope.
Will you enjoy them? Heck yeah.

Shockers are awesome. Loud enough to have a nice deep sound, louder than a semi-trucks horn and relatively cheap.
I’ve had multiple honk-offs with real locomotives and i can guarantee you they’re enough bang for your buck haha. I can’t compare to the Nathans or Leslies, but if you get yourself some shockers you won’t be dissapointed.
Are the shockers that much louder than the conductors special horns?
The black horns are all the same… Some have larger inlets though.
Keep an eye out for someone selling a set. That’s what I did and saved quite a bit of coin.
My shockers are louder than the commuter trains here.
