sick

hi all,
i’ve been looking into getting myself a train horn… it’s sick… i absolutely love it , and those video’s are just too funny, can’t stop watching them.

i also want that gruelsome effect… a member pointed out that he got 3 different sets before he got the effect he wanted

so i’m probably looking into buying a 300-500 USD premium kit (as recommended by Hornblasters to all their customers)… i figured a bargain-train-kit would do it, but quickly realised this is not how a true hornblasters would deem fit… they’d go bigger

but i don’t wanna spend 1000s dollars on it, even though those horns seem the best, i don’t have any room to fit these huge horns and tank

here’s the premium line:
http://www.hornblasters.com/products/category.php?c=train-horn-kits-and-air-horn-kits

So i’m starting to think either one of these will do the job, keep in mind i have a compact car (suzuki swift old model)
The video’s on youtube are very convincing

Shocker 232XL Train Horn Kit

Shocker 240XL Train Horn Kit

my questions are, will this horn scare people, so that it is satisfying ? (have yet to see train horn pranks with the shocker 232 / 240)

if anyone thinks it will not fit my car, let me know.

and have people ever experienced overseas shipping? i live in Amsterdam… is the shipment insured? would be a bummer to lose 500 usd over a horn.

i’d appreciate your reply
i’m looking forward joining the hornblasters community with my horn  to scare all the roadrage people for instance

Those will scare people. heck I have those horns at 150psi and smaller line, and scared a poop ton of people last night. and If you go more psi and bigger airline, you cant do any worse than me. Go for it you wont regret it.

It will scare the crap out of everyone trust me!

if anyone thinks it will not fit my car, let me know.

I think it will fit cuz you can mount the shocker separated like one in the front, two in the back, one inthe side…

Ask “Stinkypete” he lives in UK and he bought a shocker kit and he is loving it… Give a call to hornblasters they are really nice and they can help you outwith any question u have. Hope this help

awesome … thanks for the quick replies

and let’s say i buy this system, would it do a K3LA any justice? or would one have to consider buying a new compressor/tank to go along with that horn? i really like the video’s where the cars having a horn battle with passing trains… sounds great

i just don’t know what to pick for the best bang… i guess both i mentioned will do fine, considering there’s a lot more train horn kits for less money

again thanks. PS. would anyone have a video where’s people getting scared with the Shocker S4?

and are Shocker S4, authentic train horn? or just aftermarket?

thanks for your time… i’m really looking into getting one… i love building stuff on my car (have a trambell, and a Stebel Magnum TM 80 horn on it)
but a train horn would be ultimate fun… i’d love standing in the harbour nearby honking my uberloud horn at passing ships

if you are thinking on getting a k3la try to get a 5 gallon air tank with a viair 480c compressor… all those chrome horns in ebay, etc are china made they won’t sound as loud as the shocker trust me my first horn was one of those chrome one and when i first got my shockers i was like wow… here is a vid of the shockers! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzuTxgKTSZQ

thanks man. give it a week or so and i’ll be ordering one… after i contacted hornblasters how shipment goes and or with insurance

lol id love to see the look on those peeps face in europe when theyd hear an airchime since they dont hear “our” trainhorns.

youll like the shocker kit and i think it is safe to say youll have the loudest horn in amsterdam

heh that’d be great…

just wondering if anyone happened to know if these are the Shockers horns (the short honk in the video):

Hi Jelle,

Postage is all good… UPS delivered. Build into your budget another £80quid for import duty on top of the shipping costs tho!!

I’d personally go for the 240 XL’s - My old seiges were loud, but when I heard these S4’s honking from over two miles away, I fell in love:D

Good luck with ya install, I guess on a swift your gonna have fun trying to mount everything in???:wink:

Hi

I only could repeat Stinkypete’s Post!

Postage is all good… UPS delivered.

I’am from Germany, and my Shocker-Kit has been arrived after 6 days.

You could send a request per email to sales@hornblasters.com
They will tell you your shipping costs, too.

My contact person was Garrett.
He has done a great job.

tbh in all my life on internet i’ve never seen a forum with people so kind and helpful… only wish i was part of the hornblasting community ALREADY xD

i bet i’ll be havin some issues building this stuff in, but should not be much of a problem as i’m pretty handy.

again thanks everyone… i’m getting more and more eager, hunking the horn i do not have yet :frowning: but will be getting soon enough

edit: 170 USD shipment to Netherlands

Hey jelle

you are right, 170 USD isn’t cheap.

I’ve paid 142€ for shipment.

But trust me, when you KIT is installed, and you honk your horn for the first time, all the money that you have paid for it, will be forgotten.

I have considered a long time to order the KIT, too.
But you won’t find a comparable Train Horn KIT in Netherlands or Germany.

Feel free, to ask for more informations.

I think all fellows in the Forum will answer

(by the way, I’am sorry, if my english isn’t good)

im already convinced that i’m willing to get one, it’d be stupid not to get one… should be ordering one soon enough… the USA money press is on the roll, to i’m wait it out a bit to see if exchange gets any better

should’ve ordered one i december last year, my euro would’ve been worth nearly USD 1,50

this train horn might even motivate me to stop a nasty dutch habit, the green one.

just asked for a pay request!

im all thrilled like a 12 year old … should be feeling even younger when i start honking this bad boy
