The Galaxy S6’s mic has a wider frequency range than the Nikon D3300, but the D3300 picks up reverb much better. There’s some pretty good clips in here!
I never rated Nikon for video or audio quality anyway (certainly not at entry level, sounds like a cheap mic, panasonic everyday!!). A $300 camcorder should wipe the floor with both of those by providing a greater sense of space in the recording of your audio.
The D3300 has a mount for an external mic on it that would wipe the floor with a camcorder. This was just with the built-in mics.
Nikon definitely beats the hell out of Canon in video quality, especially in the entry-level. Notice the framerate in the Nikon clips? Can’t get that on any entry-level Canon! However, any DSLR will destroy a $300 camcorder in video quality cause the lenses are much better and the sensor is much bigger.
First one sounds pretty good, I like the Stereo Mics.
