So frustrated! need help adjusting horns

Ok I have the old siege engineering anvil horn (yea i know compared to some they suck lol) but I have had them for a long time and never had issue, well finally i have a problem. They have some how came loose and they all sound off.

Basically what im getting at here is there anyway to adjust or calibrate these to sound best other then how i have tried.

What i have done is try to plug two with towels so i can only hear one at a time and then adjust the backs (back plate/diaphram) until I get what seems to be loudest, by honking it in my FACE!! lol which doesnt seem accurate because each honk is less air pressure until my system airs up…i did this 2-3 times until i realized i cant get them back to the way they sounded.

Is there a better way to do this or someone that might have done it before???

NOTE: I did use the search feature and found out info but not an exact answer. appreciate the help!

Nobody knows how to adjust horns???

maybe u worn out ur diaphram and need to replace them

No they were way loose like not adjusted right. The anvil doesn’t have diaphragms like some horns… It’s just a stainless steel backplate really

im not too experienced with those horns… post up some pics and point out what and where its loose…

This is exactly the same as mine:

have u tried to adjust it how its in that picture or maybe messaging that guy…
or buy some shockers im sure u will be better off with a hornblaster product

i actually thought about messaging him this morning. I’m really just wanting to know an easier way to adjust them but i guess being that these are not the most popular horns no one has expierence adjusting them…ill try to shoot him a message though.

Or call the company that makes them???

seige…that was my first thought but they were going out of buisness when i bought these…

what made u buy from a company going out of business and not from hornblasters a world wide known company whos not going out of business??

Siege went out over 2 years ago.

exactly, for one it was so long ago train horn companies were just getting prestige, and I didnt and dont need something overtly expensive or loud, this horn has been more than enough, although yes louder is always nice lol.

I bought it then found out after that seige was going down, at the time it was rumor. Trust me im not an idiot scardeu but thanks for checkin lol and i appreciate the help thus far

To be honest between that and the compressor breaking a fitting (cheap master flow qmaxx) im really considering getting a HB Shocker XL. Maybe take this old horn and throw it on the bagged noma… thats got bigger tanks and a EDC on it anyway!

call up HB… they can hook u up… tell em ur from the forums…
and their horns are built to last and guaranteed for life i believe…

i just hate installing, but cant bring myself to pay someone!

dont u have everything ran? wires and air lines… wouldnt u just need to swap out the horns… maybe buy a new compressor now i guess… but shouldnt take too long to install new set of horns… plus ull be overall more satisfied with the product of a quality horn…

btw any pics of the bagged noma?
i got a bagged avy

well yea but i was referring to both trucks…I could just leave the tank, valve and wiring on my truck but…now im wondering how the shocker and anvil together would sound on my silvy…hmmmmm lmao

i would have to upgrade though, current comp is only 125 psi and a 2 gal tank

ya u need a upgrade…

what ru running on the noma?

well there is no horn on the noma if thats what you mean…

noma is bagged out on airlift bags 4 link with two 7 gal tanks 10 switch and the lovely EDC.
