Hi guys, i have a cuestion, what difference have if i put the solenoid more close to the horns or close to the tank far from the horns? cuz i hear that when is far the horn has a delay when you honk them, is that true? if I put the solenoid close to the horns will sound more louder?
Farther away from the horns mean a slight delay, not much tho.
The length does not affect the loudness of the horn.

Closer to the horn is more instant on & off. Loudness is the same.
Whatever you do make sure all the horn air lines are the same length so they all hit at the same time.
I have about a 47 foot run from solenoid to the horns.
The delay you can hardly notice…
More important is to make sure you have a good “firing” switch that works for you.
I first had a push button connected, but my finger slipped off once or twice, so I now have a toggle on/off.
It’s much better.
I will say that I will confirm this… I have a set of shockers and just wanted them on the truck… didn’t care about the length of the host, there is a definite delay in the different notes hitting.
I’m actually going to order the shocker upgrade kit for the PTC fittings but I’ll get those after I get my LED’s for the tail lights.
