I’d rather be Cummin, than strokin. Just saying.

I’d rather have a Cummins. I have several friends with Duramax’s and while they love their trucks and all, they admit there are more performance parts for a Dodge. Also, I think Dodge’s are the only ones that look good with some big stacks lol

Oh and if that’s not enough, they sound better being that they are inline 6 cylinders… makes em sound like a log truck lol

that truck is hot try to get a ford lol

well i have a dodge right now and im not a big fan… it has lost sooooo much value… the dash cracked and i heard they have tranny problems, but thats why i am asking opinions lol keep em coming

Get the last year they made it with the 5.9 of the last body style, you shouldn’t have much of any trouble.

the dodge i had had SOOOOOOOOO many problems i hated it i said i’d give dodge one chance and they screwed up lol ford only for me =D

The 6.6L Duramax motor is amazing and paired up with the allison 6spd transmission the truck is solid! A good friend of mine has an 02 2500HD and he LOVES it.
The one problem with that motor from what I’ve heard are the injectors they’re “Bosch” and complete ****. But don’t let that scare you away they have a 7 year 300 000KM warranty on them you you’re totally covered.

The Dodges have obvious Dodge problems… front ends and such. The motor is what makes them worth while and they sound bada$$.

Fords… I haven’t heard good things…Blown turbos and such. But I’m not a big fan of Ford in the first place…

When you go out west in Canada near the oil fields it’s mostly trucks and mostly diesels. The trucks that those guys buy are Chevys and Dodges, barely any Fords… that’s just food for thought…

Anyways I’m super tired ATM so hit me up in the chat one day and we can talk more about this. I hope that helps a little.

considering 50% or more of my customers seem to have one of the Ford F-series trucks, I’d go that route.

You can get performance parts for anything you drive… you just have to look for it…

The truck you posted looks good… only thing I can think of, if you decide to buy it, tell them you want the all-terrain tires (unless you do a lot of muddin) because those Mud-terrain tires will wear out quick… and they aren’t cheap. (I would say about $400 each) and don’t let them “tack it on” to your financing… they should have to pay for it.

I drive a 2008 F350, it is a solid truck. I haven’t had any problems with it yet. Just make sure you can get a warranty with that truck. Being that it is the 6.0 liter make them do any maintenance to it… I heard the 6.0 liter’s weren’t the best. the 7.3 liter was a solid motor, and the 6.4 liter is a solid motor (and very quiet)

Also, how many miles are on it? I didn’t see that in the posting, it just said “Please Call” which tells me it has a lot of miles on it. Most vehicles start having major problems around 60k. Ask for a Carfax, tell the dealership to show you the maintenance history on it, look it over… VERY CAREFULLY. I don’t like buying used vehicles because I don’t know how the previous owner took care of it.

Find out how long it’s been on the lot… If its been there a while, tell them you will go for $20k out the door… The truck looks great, but I’m guessing it probably has about 80k miles on it or so (18k - 20k per year which is nothing if it was a work truck…) I’ve seen the mileage go 45k+ on vehicles in 1 year…

I say Ford, but I’m just a little biased.

thanks for the input guys, but i think im going to hold off… my truck is right about paid off and i dont want a nother car payment right now… when the time is right ill get one. plus i really really want a duramax, and i cant afford the one i want right now. so im gonna wait!

Good choice! It’ll be worth the wait.
