Squeaking Shockers......

Ok so I’m driving down to drop the car off & having my final Hornblasting with the horns (Car & Horns now sold)…

I hit the Horns and they squeaked!!! I Hit them again and they were fine…about 15mins later, I hit the Horns and they squeaked again… Wot could be causing this???

They are not my Problem now…but I know they will be asking why the horns are squeaking??? I know someone else over there had the similar problem, just gonna be a pain in the a r s e to send these back…

from my past experience with horns squeeking, its usually the diaphragm that is messed up. Its fairly easy to change one tho.

im suprised you are having this problem @150 psi tho… ive mostly heard of it happening at 200psi… on my old set of siege’s i ran them @ 200psi and it destroyed the diaphragms, 3 times

So why offer the 200psi if the shocker diaphragms cant handle it?

I’m seeing a lot of people (inclduing myself) posting about this problem… Could it have been a bad batch of diaphrams or something?

thats what i think, mine are like 3 years old always ran at 200psi and are fine

i ran mine at 200psi two set of them never had any problems with them

Well now this is for the hornblaster guys… Is there a way I can get my horns replaced without sending you the ones on my truck now… Like I call you guys give you my credit card info and all that and if I don’t return the horns you charge the card or something along those lines? It sucks having to return the horns to you and then wait for them to get back, since I don’t have a box that the horns will fit in so i would have to buy one and then I would have to go a couple days without my horns :frowning:

i’d call them up and ask them that…

That would not be a problem call us up and we can and will take care of that for you

Thanks to Garrett and the Hornblasters team for all your guys hard work and EXCELLENT customer service… If any of you guys are in Tallahassee just let me know and I will get you guys the hook up at the bars I work at.
