Does anyone make a horn or whistle that sounds like the old steam locomotives? That would be cool to have.
Can those be installed easily on a train horn set up?
I have a dump switch I could connect it to. Right?
No, you’d have to have a GINORMOUS about of air and a HUGE line running to it (at least 1 inch). Probably in excess of 30 gallons, preferably more to get the full tone out of it.
Exactly correct. I have quite a few steam whistles. I have one as a door bell. I use a 80 gallon shop compressor and another 60 gallon tank and I can drain them both in a blink of an eye. If you found a small 2" whistle you could but nothing like a locomotive on five gallons.
Good Luck,
John
